Charquini is located just below the Huayna Potosí massif. It’s an excellent climb to test your acclimatization, and the summit offers stunning views of the Zongo Valley, the Altiplano, and Huayna Potosí itself.

The Hike: It starts at 4,750 m. It is a 1.5 to 2 hour ascent along a marked trail to Laguna Esmeralda (5,000 m).
